Built with ClaudeScribe
Record a sermon and get back a clean, structured outline — title, theme, points, and cited scripture. Audio is transcribed on-device, and scripture references surface as live cards in real time while the preacher speaks.

01The problem
Taking sermon notes by hand is lossy — you either listen or you write, never both. And the scripture references fly by faster than you can look them up. I wanted to capture the whole thing and get a clean, shareable outline without the busywork.
02How it works
Scribe turns a live sermon into a structured artifact, end to end:
- Tap record — audio is captured in chunks and transcribed on-device (no keys, no limits)
- Scripture references are detected live and shown as cards during the sermon
- On stop, an outline is generated: title, theme, summary, points, sub-points
- Everything stays on the device; transcripts are plumbing, never the product
03Designed and built with Claude
Scribe is a project I took all the way from idea to working app with Claude — the interface, the on-device transcription pipeline, the live scripture lookup, and the outline generation. It's still in progress, and an early version won first runner-up at a hackathon.

“The transcript is internal plumbing — the product is the outline. Designing around the output people actually want, not the technology under it, is what made it click.”
